City Marshal Lance Foils Bank Robbery Gang
Early Wednesday around midnight George Lance city marshal fought off an armed gang trying to rob the bank vault in Ada. With 38 caliber pistol he fired at the robbers as they fled toward the hills, injuring none and drawing a crowd as Sheriff Mitchell and County Attorney Roland headed to the scene.

Robbers Hold Up Train in Iowa
Two armed men boarded passenger train No. 12 between Mystic and Ottumwa and seized about 350 dollars in cash and valuables. Passengers A Young and J G Zook lost 80 dollars and a 150 dollar diamond ring. other crew members were robbed of smaller amounts. The robbers fled as the train slowed at Market street crossing. No New Trials For Allen Clan Holds Virginia
The Virginia Supreme Court refuses new trials for Floyd Allen and Claud Swanson Allen. Both are condemned to die in the electric chair next Friday for the murder of Carroll County Court at Hillsville. Floyd Allen killed Commonwealth Attorney William Foster and Claud Allen was convicted of killing Judge Massie. A prior murder conviction in July 27 for killing Foster stood. Governor Mann had sought clemency, but none is expected. The Hillsville shooting remains a flashpoint as Sidna Allen’s trial proceeds in Wytheville.

In Muskogee Oklahoma on November 20 Judge Ralph E Campbell ruled it is no offense under federal law to ship liquor from western to eastern Oklahoma and indictments for introducing liquor into Eastern Oklahoma are dismissed unless proven shipped from outside the state. The decision cites over 300 indictments dismissed and allows shipments within the state with rebilling to the eastern part not violating federal law unless shipped directly to Indian country.
