George Norris escaped serious injury when a freight train collided with his car at the Frisco crossing on Main Street. Norris, a Wichita meat company representative from Ardmore, suffered cuts and bruises and is resting at Breco hospital with no alarming symptoms. The Pontiac was demolished in the wreck.

Cotton Receipts In Ada Reach 6000 Mark
Cotton receipts at Ada for the present season topped 6000 bales on Saturday afternoon with about 600 more added that week. Of the total 6487 bales were weighed at the county scales and 913 round bales, equivalent to 459 square bales, were ginned. Cold weather earlier in the week slowed picking and reduced receipts by about 300 bales from the prior week, according to weigher John Ward.
