Blairs Set Third Annual Sale Of Polled Herefords Nov. 12
Lester Blair and sons Wesley and Ivan plan the Oklahoma Criterion Sale at Blair ranch near Center on Monday November 12 starting at 1 p.m. Seventeen bulls and 23 females from the Polled Hereford herd will be offered to the highest bidders. The Blairs report strong interest from Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Texas and Oklahoma. The sale features Domestic Mischief 6th and 13th, top herd sires with titles from the State Fairs in Muskogee and Oklahoma City, and a record of careful line breeding and herd improvement since 1979. All animals are guaranteed breeders and tested for tuberculosis and Bangs disease within 30 days of sale. Auctioneers Jewett M. Fulkerson and Phil Sanders. Lunch will be available at the ranch.

Range and Pasture School and Contest Slated for 4-Hers
A 4 H range and pasture judging school and contest will be held Wednesday morning November 7 from 9 30 to noon in the county courtroom on the third floor of the Ada courthouse. Assistant county agent Jack McAskill and extension range management specialist Clarence E Bunch Stillwater will direct instruction and judging in two sections. The four high scorers will form a team to represent the county at future contests. No field work this year to fit a half day of school.

Pon totac County Soil Conservation District supervisors urge increased planting of winter legume cover crops including vetch Austrian winter peas and clover to boost soil conservation and provide winter feed. Cows Travel Fast as Lightning Near Frisco
Mrs Edith Price reported seven cows missing on Monday afternoon. Three neighbors said they saw the cows along the way around eleven o’clock that morning. Miss Jim Marshall saw them passing her house at eleven. Mrs Simon Patton found them on the west edge of Frisco about eleven at alfalfa. Mrs Aline Johnson noted the cows in her alfalfa at eleven. If these are the same cows, they covered rapid miles in a short span.
