Oklahoma City official C C Jackson led a Frisco excursion to Tahlequah and Fort Gibson with about 350 on the return. Visitors toured the Cherokee Capitol site, N A Hastings spoke, Horace Shepherd welcomed, Tahlequah hosted a large picnic with band music and a campus of about forty acres. Fort Gibson visit included Longfellow mention and a lecture on buttermilk by Dr. Frank P. Davis before the return journey.

Mexican Rebels Lose Heavily in Bellano Battle
From City of Mexico May 23 details of the battle around Bellano reached President Madero at 7 tonight reporting rebel casualties between 800 and 1,000 dead and wounded. Huerta cited rebel forces of 6,000 to 8,000 and said the rebels were in retreat northward while Federals claimed victory at Relano.
