Henry Gibbs a 55 year old Lula area farmer was found guilty of murder by a district court jury after deliberating from 2:00 p m to 6:15 p m The verdict followed arguments from both sides about the 1939 killing of neighbor Willard Burkhardt during a hunting dispute Both men served on the High Fall school board Gibbs testified self defense and the case marks a second jury trial after a hung verdict last December.
