The Oklahoma Arabian Horse Club and McCall's Chapel School sponsor the Ada event with proceeds to the chapel. Breeders from five states, 125 top animals expected, two divisions breeding and performance, with trainers and notable participants.

Ada City Council Meets Busy Routine Session

Ada youth hired by Soil Conservation Service for summer
Karen Duncan 18 of Ada is hired as secretary to Kenneth Yoakum in the Soil Conservation Service under the 90 day Summer Youth Program. The program provides 40 hour weeks all summer for students planning to attend East Central in fall. duties include typing filing and answering phones plus assembling conservation plans and land descriptions for farmers and ranchers.

Dairy Princess Contest Slated in Sulphur Oklahoma
The Southcentral and Southeastern Oklahoma District Dairy Princess contest will be held in Sulphur on June 5. Entries must be 16 to 25 as of June 1, 1969, be single, a high school graduate, and have a dairy farm background. The program begins at 2 p.m. with interviews by three judges, final judging at 8 p.m. in Sulphur High School cafeteria. public invited.

County Resident Mrs. Nelson Dies
Mrs. A. P. Nelson 85, Ada area resident since 1917, died May 13 in a local hospital after a short illness. Born December 9, 1883 in Tennessee she was married to A. P. Nelson who died July 26, 1961. They left five sons Leo Gordon Warren D V Colby and one daughter Dorothy Terry. Seventeen grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren survive. Funeral services were held at Campground Free Will Baptist Church with burial in Box-X Cemetery.

Accident Report Highlights May Totals and Court Fines
An accident report notes a May total of 32 with 24 in the same period last year. Edmond J. Lewis of Pauls Valley struck a car driven by Emily Ewing of East Central State College on Main Street. Lewis pleaded guilty to following too close and was fined $10. In Municipal Court bonds were forfeited for several offenses including DUI, speeding, and petit larceny with fines ranging from $10 to $20.
