Motorcycle Crash Injures Ada Men Near 14th and Mississippi
Two Ada men, James Doyle age 19 and Mickey Melton 18, were hospitalized in fair condition after their motorcycle collided with Sally Ann Sanford’s car at 14th and Mississippi. The crash occurred at 10 43 p.m. Sanford faced no charges. The same day Deborah Bolinger admitted fault in a separate incident, surrendering $20 bond.

Ada Boys Club Head Survives Gulf Near-Death Incident
Ada Boys Club director Paul Quirk is recovering in a Galveston hospital after a near drowning in the Gulf of Mexico. Quirk was rescued by two nearby boys after an undercurrent pulled him underwater. doctors say he likely would have died without aid. He suffered a collapsed lung and was to stay in the hospital for a week or more.
