High 4-H Roundup Awards Spark County Ceremony
The county 4-H Club Roundup honored winners Wednesday at the courthouse with plaques from local firms. Fitzhugh won high school and grade school divisions, Pickett led rural class, as 26 clubs competed in clothing contests, demonstrations, speeches, and health contests.

Billy Houser president and Charles Price treasurer of the Latta Chapter of the FFA gain Junior Master Farmers degrees the top state honor from the Oklahoma Future Farmers of America Association. Both to graduate Latta High School this month after four years in vocational agriculture and two years as officers. Houser plans to attend Oklahoma A and M College Stillwater while Price will attend East Central.

County Man Wins $100000 Award For Loss of Legs
Oklahoma City May 6 A Pontotoc County railroad laborer will receive $100000 damages after the state Supreme Court upheld a district court ruling. George S King 27 was injured March 10 1950 when a 900 pound timber crushed him resulting in the loss of both legs. Almost four million babies were born in the United States in 1952.
