Fire Destroys Stonewall Home
A Stonewall residence owned by Will Hamilton was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning. Ada firemen assisted the Stonewall department and protected an adjoining house. Fire crews also tackled three grass fires caused by burning brush and garden cleanup, with mutual aid from Stratford and Asher departments. all under control by Ada’s arrival.

Workshops Set By Health Dept for Food Service Workers
Two one day workshops on food borne diseases and their prevention are scheduled Thursday and Friday for food service personnel in this area. Sponsored by the State Health Department the programs will be in the ballroom of the student union at East Central State College. The focus is on personnel in hospitals nursing homes schools and other institutions with regular restaurant handlers urged to participate.

Vaughn Potter, Stratford Civic Leader Dies at 43
Vaughn M. Potter, a prominent contractor and civic figure in Stratford and Gaar Corner, died last night at Valley View Hospital. He was 43. Funeral services are set for Saturday at 2 p.m. in Van Ess School auditorium conducted by Revs. F. M. Wood and Jack Brady. Potter built a thriving fabricated homes business and was active in many community activities.
