Coyne Brothers face judgments in Ada court
In Justice Brown's court Thursday afternoon judgment was rendered against Coyne Bros. of Chicago in favor of George Frierson and W. S. Kerr for 199 dollars each. An attachment was issued against 6000 baskets of defendants' property. The case arose from peach shipments last summer after a contract allowed selling to Ada buyers when market conditions justified. The Chicago house allegedly wire instructed rejection of 55 cents on track while market rose, sending shipments to them and earning less than 30 cents per bushel on part. The firm also charged 2 cents per basket for drayage though some cars were diverted and never passed through the Ada warehouse.
