A tragic accident on a stump puller device tore off R J Ross left leg and fatally injured him. His son William sustained leg injuries while another son escaped serious harm. Ross, a respected contractor and Masonic Odd Fellow, died after amputation and blood loss. The tragedy shocked Ada and led to funeral plans with Texas relatives expected to attend.
R W Hockaday industrial commissioner of the M E T railroad says stock pen Manure will be transported from Kansas City to Oklahoma at low rates. Freight to Ada would be about 30 dollars with loading at Kansas City around 2 dollars, totaling about 32 dollars per car. Farmers can fertilize fields at a moderate cost. further information from Mr Hockaday in St Louis.
The State Interdenominational Sunday School convention meets in Oklahoma City March 18 to 20 with leaders from national groups. Gov. Cruce will give the welcome. railroads offer a special low fare. delegates urged from churches state wide, with lodging provided for enrollees.
The obituary notes the death of three and a half year old Gwendolyn McCarty at her grandfather A T Trimm’s home two miles south of Ada. The brief life brought grief to her parents Mr. and Mrs. J M McCarty and her grandparents.

Oklahoma City reports the Senate fixed Wednesday afternoon March 19 to begin the impeachment trial of Perry A. Ballard directed by the House last week. If adjournment occurs the Senate may hear testimony without delay and McAdams leads Ballard's defense against the impeachment charges.
The Arkansas House refused a $25,090 militia appropriation risking a $50,000 equipment return to the federal government. Military officers estimate disbanding the militia and returning all loaned gear as adjournment looms, leaving Arkansas as the only state without a militia.
In Pawnee county Oklahoma a now-forgotten Hell Roaring Sunday School once met near a creek feeding the Arkansas river. The name arose after a sudden flood roared through the area and became a local legend tied to early settlement and a community known as Hell Roaring.
