Fatal Cutting Affray After Katy Depot Excursion Train
A serious cutting affray occurred at the Katy depot around 9 pm last Thursday after an excursion train from Maud Oklahoma arrived. Will and Charles Raines and Culver fought with Culver drawing a knife. Will was stabbed in the abdomen and liver, Charles in the shoulder. They were rushed to a surgeon, Marshals Reed and Nester arrested the parties, Culver was bound over, and released once Will recovered and the Raines brothers admitted fault.

Death of Capt Wrigley Overdose Quieted Nerves
