McLish School Bond Passes by 73 to 1 Vote
The McLish School District approved an $8,000 transportation bond to replace two 48 passenger buses. Superintendent J D Ennis said one bus will serve the south route to Connerville and Pontotoc, the other replaces the oldest unit on the McLish route.

County Man Found Dead Near Union Valley Creek
A 71 year old man, Jim Thomas of Choc taw, was found dead by a neighbor near a creek between his home and a well. County Attorney Francis May hue and the sheriff's office found no foul play. He had been seen alive Monday and may have died of a heart attack while chopping weeds. Medical examiner Dr Ray Northrip estimated death several days earlier.
