College Students Join Circus During Summer
Washington based Circus Kirk tours nine states with 50 member troupe of college and high school students. Owner manager Charles W. Boas a College of York geography professor says the all student tented circus plans 180 one night performances and emphasizes shared duties from roustabouts to performers. Tour began May 22 in Hanover PA and runs through Labor Day with stops in Pennsylvania New Jersey and New England.

Stratford Depot Gets New Lease On Life
Stratford citizens revived the 71 year old depot which became city hall six months ago after restoration. The Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railway deeded the building and right of way to Stratford for nothing, resisting offers to move it. The depot’s revival sparked town pride and memories of its railway era.
