Pontatee county 4-H roundup honors highlight Virginia Taylor and Joyce McAnally both of Allen as top performers. After four years of striving with the same demonstration The Use of Searfs they win in Stillwater to earn a trip to the 4-H roundup. Both have seven years in 4-H work and Joyce previously won the county health contest for girls in 1949. Both girls are active in clothing canning and gardening and will attend summer programs in Allen and Horace Mann Bible school.

Tragedy Strikes Ash Family in Maryland Cabin Blast
