Mother's Day Roundup at Stonewall Churches
The Stonewall community reports Mothers Day activities across multiple churches and visits. Clergy from Nazarene, Assembly of God, First Baptist, Free Will Baptist and other congregations led services and gifts were given to oldest and youngest mothers. Local families including Moran, Treas, Glover, Mann, Phillips and others celebrated with dinners and greetings as relatives traveled from Ada, Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Redding California.

Adan Hutchison Named Seminole Teacher of the Year
Adan Ron Hutchison, first year foreign language instructor at Seminole High School, is named Teacher of the Year for the Seminole Public School System. He graduated East Central University in 1974 and received the official pin from Bob Patterson, a Seminole School Board member. Hutchison also pastors Francis Baptist Church and serves as junior class sponsor while noting nonmembership in the county and state teacher honors due to not joining the Oklahoma Education Association.

Ada Cougains Seek Funds for Washington Trip
Ada High Cougains plan a door to door fundraiser starting Saturday selling light bulb packs and mini fire extinguishers to raise money for the girls trip to Washington, D C in October. They will perform for Oklahoma Day during a national bicentennial celebration on Oct 1 and represent Ada and Oklahoma in state led events.

EPA Awards Four Research Contracts on Wastewater Land Use

Researchers will assess soil safety for growing edible crops and potential buildup of bacteria viruses and heavy metals.
