Pontotoc County Commissioners Meet in June Session

The Pontotoc County Board of Commissioners met June 3 1918 at Ada. Warrant issuances covered General Funds County Road Maintenance and several townships. A resolution to amend funding bonds of 9765 dollars was adopted after public notice and court hearing plans.

Effective Work on Registration in Pontotoc County

The War Department commended Pontotoc County's exemption board for the June 5 draft registration with no cost or delays. Local volunteers F C Sims A H Constant M Garner Thos W Bowzee and Thos P Holt aided the effort while the Court Clerk's office contributed. Mr Cloer of the Commercial Hotel provided free dinners for three workers.
