Two criminals killed in Picher gunfight ending long career
In Picher Oklahoma early today two notorious criminals Flournow and Mayes were killed by merchant policeman William Semootcbach and Deputy Sheriff M J Woolsey after a running gun battle through the town. Grover McCleary, a police patrolman, was critically wounded and later died from accidental gunshot during efforts to aid the fallen officers. The night of drunken revelry preceded the clash on a downtown street.
