George W. Burris aged 72 of 1201 S Johnston Ada Oklahoma died early Wednesday at a local hospital after a sudden critical illness Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 30 p m at Criswell Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. Burris was active in Chickasaw tribal affairs and helped arrange sales of tribal lands. He had practiced law and was a longtime Democratic figure in Pontotoc County. He is survived by his widow two daughters a brother four sisters a niece and a nephew.

George Milledge sustained head injuries and an 81 year old girl had a broken arm.
