Local 4-H'ers Shine At State Roundup In Stillwater
Fourteen Pon totoc County girls and twelve boys attended the State 4-H Club roundup in Stillwater from May 28 to 31. Delegation spokeswomen Judy Enloe and Sue Boles praised the event and its people. Entries earned blue and red ribbons in demonstrations and talks, including Nancy Elliott and Frankye Sullivan breads demonstration blue and second in state, Wanda Young and Barbara Morrow dairy foods demonstration blue, Judy Enloe and Sue Boles electrical red, and Bette Davis illustrated talk blue.

Spawning starts in late April and runs into June with catfish spawning later than many fish. Swollen creeks push fish upstream and scatter them. some stranded fish are lost, but overall Oklahoma fish thrive under the excessive water.
