Reflections on Wilhelm and a Dust Bowl Era Moment
A personal reminiscence recalls Wilhelm's insights on reforestation and the dust bowl, noting his 80th birthday on January 27, 1939. The account contrasts Europe’s looming crisis, his devotion to God, and his dignified appearance with blue serge suit, white vest, and jeweled pin as he celebrated family milestones.

Rehearing on Oil Income Suit in Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City on June 3 reports the Supreme Court opened a re hearing of a dispute over oil royalties from state wells near Lincoln Parkway. The case pits the state and Phillips Petroleum Co against private owners claiming entitlement under a Marland era agreement. Impounded funds include 335000 with potential to reach 1 million. The state contends the underlying law is unconstitutional while the prior ruling favored the property owners. Governor Philips sought the re hearing to place revenue in the state general fund.
