Pentecostal Holiness Camp Meeting Opens Tonight
Opening services begin at 7 30 p m at the Ada campground two and one half miles east of Ada city limits. Rev Os Tear Moore camp manager announced Rev W H Turner missionary and author will be the principal speaker for the ten day encampment assisted by East Oklahoma Conference members and visiting ministers from surrounding states. Dozens of families are already on the grounds with hundreds more expected. About 140 tents and two dozen permanent cabins fill the grounds on the tract purchased in 1939 with a 1948 expansion to ease car parking for several hundred vehicles.

Truck Fire Injures Driver on SH 18 Bridge
Billy Bob Richardson, semi driver, was hospitalized with extensive head lacerations after his truck burned in a wreck on the north end of the State Highway 18 bridge over the South Canadian River. He lost sight in one eye. Troopers assisted on the precarious bridge as traffic stalled. the bridge surface was burned but later declared safe for all traffic.
