Ada Town passes ordinance imposing wholesale sunbeam tax of fifty dollars yearly and retail sunbeam tax of twenty dollars yearly payable quarterly. The act takes effect after passage and publication. S. W. Hill acting mayor and W. C. Castleberry acting recorder approve. In other news, the Bowman infant dies at home and is shipped to Cleburne for burial.
The town council enacts ordinance 47 amending ordinance 45 to regulate catching and holding dogs at the pound with three day advertising and owner redemption by paying the marshal. It fixes marshal share, provides for dog disposal if unclaimed, and repeats conflicting sections. It also assigns scavenger duties to clean closets monthly with fees, penalties for nonpayment, and allows council review with possible refunds.
