Agricultural Chemical Conference Set in Oklahoma City
STILLWATER The annual Agricultural Chemical Conference will be held January 26 to 28 in Oklahoma City at the OSU extension center. OSU experts will lead short courses on spray equipment, herbicide and insecticide outlooks for 1970 plus pesticide education plans and demonstrations. Attendees include Eldon Cleveland, Dale Fain, Gene Williams, John Cagle and others from Oklahoma counties.

Pecan Growers Honor Netherton For Work
John K. Netherton Pontotoc County extension director was named a life member of the Oklahoma Pecan Growers Association and awarded a plaque at the Ardmore banquet. He organized the first pecan show in Idabel and the first all day touring event with lunch on the grounds. He led a four week short course in Ada with about 100 growers participating and Pontotoc County had the most entries in the Ada show. Netherton has built a strong junior pecan program and coached many 4H demonstration teams. He has served as extension director since 1966, with prior posts in McCurtain Latimer Choc taw counties and a career as a veteran agr instructor.

The American Beekeepers Association meets January 24 to 27 at the Skirvin Hotel Oklahoma City for its first Oklahoma convention. Dr Marshall Levin of USDA Apiary Research will speak Lt Governor George Nigh will welcome attendees. Exhibits open to the public with a small registration fee. About 500 participants expected.

Rubella Sunday Planed for February 1 Immunization Push

Bad Weather Delays Trout Stocking on Blue River
