Excess water from the Francis tower spilled and froze in extreme cold last week, creating intricate ice formations down the tower side and coating ground and vegetation below, described as a striking natural sculpture by observers.
The Gaines Dog Photo Contest at the center awards top prizes to three dogs. Milk cow inventory stood at 13.3 million head, down 3 percent year over year. Gypsy moth spread accelerates in 1975 across farms, woods, forests and shrubs per Agriculture Department.
Oklahoma Wheat Growers Association president Earl Abernathy accuses the American Bakers Association of exploiting wheat prices to push export controls. He argues farmers have expanded wheat acreage to meet domestic and export demand, saying bread price hikes would hurt both farmers and consumers while bakers profit from world market conditions.
