Disney World Model In Living Room Captivates Village
William Waters 54 built a 23 by 14 foot scale model of Walt Disney World in his Cottage City apartment near Washington. The nine ride layout features 40 illuminated buildings a railroad and a lush landscape. He has never visited the real park but recreated it from maps photos and drawings. Waters spent about 250 on materials and began last June modeling Fantasyland and other sections after work. He previously built a working fire engine model for Baltimore firefighters in 1934 earning an honorary cap and badge.
