Special Education Class at Byng Receives Reading Materials Boost
The Byng School special education class, newly added this year, received a donated reading materials set from Byng and Colbert home demonstration clubs. The Ada Public Library supplied the set for 61 dollars, aiding five pupils learning reading basics with added activities. Mrs. Gentry and Superintendent Teague praised the collaboration and progress after the first semester.

The Paulottic County Schoolmasters Club will hold its regular meeting at Allen School on Monday February 11. Dr. Thomas B Ray a county health department clinical psychologist will speak. Coal County Breeders Hold 12th Annual Sale This Week

William Riddle 89 pioneer resident of Pontotoc County died Thursday afternoon Jan 31 at his daughter’s Ada home Mrs A T Watson Services were Monday at Smith Funeral Chapel with burial in Rosedale cemetery He came from Barry County Missouri in 1891 and settled in Union Valley later running cattle and then a diversified farm starting the area’s sweet potato industry with cotton corn watermelons and potatoes He married Lou Ann Hatcher in 1892 after first arriving in Indian Territory.
