A morning crash west of the city caused property damage but no serious injuries. Prentiss Horton, 60, driving a southbound pickup, collided with Ronnie McAlister, 19, driving west in a car. Horton’s pickup spun into the median. McAlister’s car slid about 200 feet. Both drivers escaped unharmed. a passenger was checked and released.

Shepherd Mall Named After Pioneer Shepherd Family
The last survivor of Oklahoma City’s Shepherd pioneer family Miss Lottie Shepherd, 96, died in the family home built on land homesteaded in 1889. Her sister Edith had died earlier. after selling most of the property in 1960 for 1.5 million the sisters lived in the house as Shepherd Mall rose nearby.
