Mrs Rushing Dies At 84 Longtime Pontotoc County Resident
Caroline Rushing 74 longtime Pontotoc County resident died Friday at a local hospital. She was a full blood Chickasaw born in Johnston County Indian Territory, daughter of the late William Harris, and married Joe Rushing in 1900. The couple built an apple orchard near Ada and she lived at 410 West Minth after his 1927 death. Funeral services were held Monday at Criswell Chapel with burial in Rosedale cemetery. George Najiaka Los Angeles. sons Charley Ada J J California Leroy Dearborn Mich. 13 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren.
