Water survey aims to map Arbuckle limestone reservoir

Ada with the U S Geological Survey expands a 50 50 funded study of the Arbuckle near Byrd’s Mill Spring to determine the underground water potential. Wells Wingard Norris Ranch and Brents Ranch will be pump tested as recording devices monitor drawdown and spacing for future wells.

Services for Mrs Simpson Held Dec 16

Lena Simpson 83 died December 13 at the Wade home in Garber Oklahoma. Funeral services were held in Garber on December 16. She lived with her daughter Mrs. C P Wade and helped manage the family wheat and dairy farm. She was a Christian Science church member.

Aunt Tennie McCool Dies At Francis

Francis mourns the death of Aunt Tennie McCool aged 90 at her Moon home after a four month stroke. She is survived by sister Lula Gorden of Tulsa, sister in law Ethel Chism of Ada, and brothers in law S. M. Ritchie and Tom Gorden of Tulsa. Services were held Friday in Criswell Chapel Ada with Rev. Robert W. Smith and Ira Womack presiding. Burial followed at Rosedale Cemetery.

JESSE The story of Jesus was presented by L. M. Cass at the Jesse Christmas tree night drawing a large crowd. The choir including L. M. Cass and others sang hymns and carols as Santa arrived to hand out gifts and treats to children before continuing on to greet more people.
