Five Die in Georgia Slayings During Family Massacre
Savannah, December 21. Five persons are found slain in a Bay Street extension dwelling and filling station. Acting Coroner L W Williams, his wife Eliza, daughters Ella and Cora Pearl, were beaten in their beds with an iron pipe. A man, Tom Chester, about 40, was killed by a shotgun at the nearby filling station. The fifth victim appears shot to obscure the Tillman killings.

Ada resident Ada Bratcher a 68 year old was struck by a hit and run driver while walking along a highway west of Ada. He died Wednesday morning at 3 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 p m from the Church of God Fifth and Townsend with burial in Roff cemetery. He is survived by seven daughters and two sons.

Native of England where his father was a master printer he was a special correspondent for French publications before moving to New York in 1891.
