Four hundred hens produced 2 606 eggs in thirty days at Oklahoma A and M college as part of the first egg laying contest. Telephone Exchange at Madill Destroyed by Fire
Fire of unknown origin last night damaged the Western Bell Telephone Co building in Madill Oklahoma and the adjoining store with about 141000 in losses. The telephone building valued 135000, adjoining 6000. Miss Bertha Hughbs, a telephone operator, raised the alarm and guided neighbors to safety before being rescued from the roof by firemen. No injuries reported. Telephone service was interrupted for several hours.
