Assault charges filed in Ada court over knife attack
Warrants charging assault with intent to kill were filed in Ada this morning against Boone Hammond and Fred Palmer in connection with the alleged attack on Oscar Seates yesterday. Hammond was arraigned this afternoon before Justice of the Peace T. O. Cullins with a preliminary hearing set for August 30. bond was set at 1000 and he remained in jail. Palmer had not been arrested by late afternoon, but a warrant was issued. Seates was brought to Ada with several wounds from knife thrusts. one slash near the neck was not deemed serious and no motive was given.
