First Bale of Cotton Brought to Ada for Season
The first bale of cotton for the current season arrived in Ada this morning. Brought in by J. H. Myers of near Byng, it weighed 1500 pounds of seed cotton and ginned a 490 pound bale. Pon totoc Custom gin donated the ginning, and a premium will be formed among local business men for Mr. Myers. The Chamber of Commerce bought the bale at 20 cents, and a $75 premium was set aside for Myers.
