Two Black men being moved from Ardmore for manslaughter hearings were seized by a 200 strong mob near Pauls Valley. Sanders Franklin and HenryRalston were killed by gunfire after being released on the road. Deputy Buckholts, overpowered, witnessed the killings and had bodies moved for inquest.

Judge Van Valkenburgh ruled the 1906 union of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church upheld. Cumberland members are barred from interfering with the united church’s property use, giving the United Church title to Missouri church properties valued around one and a half million dollars, including Missouri Valley College at Marshal. Similar suits have been heard in twelve states with the United Church prevailing in ten, including Oklahoma.
