Durant man convicted of manslaughter in Hatcher killing
Robt. Robinson, charged with the murder of James Hatcher near Durant in October 1902, was found guilty of manslaughter in Atoka federal court yesterday morning. He received a three year sentence and a $300 fine.

Jail Break Suspected After Cell Vandalism in Lawton
County officials report a vandalized jail cell found on the floor after ten prisoners were moved to Lansing penitentiary. A one foot by one foot opening with two sides cut nearly through was discovered. no tools were found. Prisoners claim the absent workers took the tools. The damaged cell will not be used again until repaired.
