Pontotoc County youths earned top placings at the district Milking Shorthorn Show held in Pauls Valley on April 7. E. E. Morgan of Stonewall won first with the eight month old bull calf. Stonewall 4-H members Tom Beddow and Dean Peavy ranked fourth and fifth, while Latta 4-Her Don Killian showed a sixth place heifer. Billy Gault earned fourth in the four year old cow class. Vernon Young placed seventh in daily judging. both Young and Peavy belong to Fitzhugh 4-H Club.

Vanoss FFA Teams Earn District Honors in Two Contests
Vanoss FFA judging teams won second place in district dairy and land contests last week. Richard Pedersen led dairy on April 7 at Pauls Valley, sharing first as an individual.
