Len Hicks, 59, of South Coffeyville, committed suicide in the county jail office today using a deputy sheriff's gun. A coroner's jury ruled the death a suicide. Hicks was a trusty serving a six month liquor sentence and was reading a newspaper when he suddenly grabbed the weapon and shot himself.
