Another Shooting at Stonewall Involving Indian Man
Last Saturday Lannie Carter, an Indian resident near Jesse, was fatally shot by Tupelo township constable Henry Oates after Carter made a drunken pass with a knife. The bullet hit his thigh, shattering it. Oates was placed under arrest.
