The Democrat party announces candidates subject to primary: United States Senate M. L. Turner Roy Hoffman. Congress D. H. Linebaugh E. P. Hilu. State Senator Reuben M. Roppdie. District Judge A. M. West. Representative Randolph Laurence A. M. Croxton.
President of the Ada District F E C A calls a stockholders meeting to be held in Ada I T on Saturday March 23 1907 at 1 pm. E C Sullivan President. Ethel Moses has left for Sherman Texas to take a central telephone office post as chief operator. She departs with many friends. Capitol Hill is 8 to 10 blocks from the business center. Last chance to buy acres close in on an installment plan by Heard Blanks Owners Office Harris Hotel Bldg.
Last Tuesday's city primary nominating races saw Barton win the mayoral contest by a narrow margin. Winners in marshal and recorder races included Uncle Dick Couch and Mr Warren. City attorney race had a single entrant, Mr Holt, and aldermen were elected in four wards with Conn Chambless Deaton Kerr triumphant.
A T West a Bonham born lawyer and former Lehigh mayor campaigns for District Judge on qualifications as a lawyer and Democrat He has supported statehood efforts and holds leadership roles in the Lehigh Commercial Club and local bar associations.
Ord Rich described as a worthless character and tough has been placed in Ardmore jail awaiting grand jury action. If indicted he is expected to enter the penitentiary for a lengthy term after the trial.
Ardmore reports Coggins who brutally murdered Warren at this place a few nights ago died in the Ardmore jail yesterday. The body was shipped to Denison Texas where a brother resides.

Last Saturday March 9 the Ada Chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy collected foods and treated the William L Byrd U C V Camp without money. Old soldiers and local citizens joined the meal, and receipts exceed forty dollars for the camp treasury.

Lelia Chapman ill but recovering at home of her father W H Chapman. William Edmiston ill with jaundice, improving. Egypt community tally yields fourteen turkeys fourteen cakes a ham and money for Confederate dinner. L D Ratliff and family leave for Bridgeport Texas. Ada editor meets Joe A Mead in Muskogee, now near Elk City. John Lochman of Perth Indiana prospecting to relocate in Ada praising the town.
Citizens of Allen met to discuss building an interurban line to Ada and to determine promised funds. Tom Hope of Ada National Bank endorsed the project and pledged cooperation. Reported pledges totaled 17,500 dollars with potential to reach about 25,000 dollars. The Ada response remains in question.
J. W. Lemons and his son arrived from Ft. Smith Arkansas and hold the brickwork contract for the new cement works. They will commence work at once.
