The county farmers union met last week and planned to organize a union bank. Secretary Sullivan declined to share detailed minutes, saying he had not mustered the courage to review them since adjournment.

A special patent car will tour Indian Territory from March 3 to April 13 delivering about 30 000 patents to Chocktaw and Chickasaw allottees. Six clerks aboard will process deeds at 31 stops from Quinton to Ryan. The interior department ordered direct delivery, not via governors, to near families as notices go out.
In Stonewall the Republican club met Saturday night and endorsed A H Ward for postmaster to fill the vacancy caused by Mrs Lillard's death. Also noted are local movements, marriages, births, and a death in Hugo from throat trouble after a hunting trip.

Confederate veterans plan to convert the adjoining hall to the Commercial hotel into a permanent veterans rest room and headquarters. The piece notes aging veterans and the fading vitality of the town as a generation passes, hoping the effort will gain the support it deserves.
Sunday afternoon near Jesse Robert Gibson was shot and instantly killed by W D Monk. The dispute stemmed from family differences. Monk surrendered to officers and his examining trial was postponed to the 17th due to absent witnesses caused by high water.

Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock Mr. B. H. Balderson of Chattanooga and Miss Ida Hurst were married by Rev. F. E. L. Kirtley. They departed by the afternoon train for Chattanooga. The Democrat wishes them well. A subsequent station scene linked Miss Bertha James of Kentucky with Rev. J. M. Foster, and the couple boarded toward Hickory after a brief ceremony.

Miss Nell Gallaher of Ada accepts a position with Walsh Mercantile Co. Dr J M Harris leaves Saturday for Nashville to take a railroad hospital post. Judge Duncan unites Will Clifton of Missouri and Miss Clifton near here. H M Mauldin named alderman and W T Cargill becomes night watch. Rev B Hensley arrives to lead the local Methodist church. W L Absher buys out WA.
Good house and large lot close in with a fine well and young orchard. Buyer may trade for country real estate. Dr. O. W. Ross visited yesterday. He sold the Allen Hustler to G. L. Parker of the Tishomingo News. Dr. Ross accepted a position with the Konawa Chief Leader, promising to boost that paper.
