Free ballet classes offered in Battle Creek
In preparation for the Oct. 3 season opener with Grand Rapids Ballet, the Battle Creek Symphony and Grand Rapids Ballet host four free dance classes led by Grand Rapids instructors. The Marshall class on Monday Sept. 28 runs 4:45 to 5:45 for ages 13 to 18 and 5:45 to 6:45 for ages 9 to 12 at Dance Dynamics, 115 FE. Green St. Preregistration is required by email briannanovak live.com. The program is supported in part by a grant from the Battle Creek Community Foundation.

Missing Albion woman found after 40 hours
Marilyn Ann Kittinger, 63, of Albion, was reported missing from Clarence Township near Duck Lake. Deputies located her on a porch in Albion after 40 hours. her husband Brian Kittinger was arrested on domestic violence charges following the incident.

Man Arrested for Domestic Assault in Marshall
Marshall Police responded to a domestic assault on E. Michigan Ave at 1 a.m. Sept 12. A 35-year-old man was arrested later that day around 7 p.m. and lodged in Calhoun County Jail after a warrant was issued by the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office for domestic assault. The 35-year-old female victim reported the incident.
