Helen Hensick retires from Cronin Foundation board
Helen Hensick, a founder and long serving president of the Cronin Foundation board, retires after 21 years on the board and 15 years as president at the September meeting. The foundation, established in 1989 from Cronin’s Department Store owners, has grown assets from about 2 million to over 10 million and donated more than 4.48 million to Marshall area projects including Oaklawn Hospital and Marshall Public Schools. The five member board includes Marshall officials and community leaders, with grants limited to recognized charitable groups or governmental units.
