Marshall church volunteers aid Pine Ridge in cultural outreach
Seven members of Marshall United Methodist Church spent Sept 8 through 14 volunteering with Re-Member on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. The group helped home repair projects and learned about Lakota culture and the Dawes Act impact, noting poverty and high health challenges amid signs of cultural revival. They plan a return visit in July 2013.
