The Marshall Police Department will concentrate traffic enforcement on Industrial Road and Michigan Avenue from October 7 to 13. A 76 year old Marshall woman reported on Sept 26 that someone used her identity to open several bank accounts and obtain a loan. Officers interviewed the victim at Chauncey Court and noted the case remains open with ongoing follow up.
Fight Between Sisters Leads to Police Report in Calhoun
Marshall officers respond to West Dr N for an assault between sisters. A 20-year-old sister, carrying an infant, says her 18-year-old sister threw keys, scarring the arm. The younger sister says she was assaulted repeatedly while holding the baby. Their mother supports the younger sister. No injuries and no charges pressed. In Battle Creek at 9:42 p.m. on October 2 a 23 year old man was shot in the back at the Arbors Apartments. He was transported to a hospital with non life threatening injuries after surgery.
