If These Stones Could Talk Tour at Oakridge Cemetery
Walkers will stage the 13th annual If These Stones Could Talk tour at Oakridge Cemetery on Homer Road in Marshall at 7 p.m. October 5 rain or shine unless lightning moves it indoors. Seven actors portray historic Marshall residents as groups of 25 to 30 lantern lit walkers tour the cemetery guided by leaders. Tickets are $10 at the Marshall Chamber of Commerce City Hall. proceeds support Marshall Civic Players and Marshall Historical Society, aiding monument restoration with funds helping restore more than 52 tombstones to date. Dozens of volunteers participate, including researchers writers actors hosts guides and tram staff, as the event draws growing crowds each October.
