The Sandhill Crane and Art Festival began 20 years ago through Mike and Nancy Boyce of the Kiwanis Club of Battle Creek and Michigan Audubon to raise awareness of Michigan's natural heritage and support ongoing conservation efforts. This year’s event unfolds Oct 11-12 at the Battle Creek Kiwanis Club Youth Conservation Area.
