Deputy injures in Leroy Twp foot chase. two suspects in custody
A Calhoun County deputy stopped a vehicle in Leroy Township when the driver fled on foot. The deputy suffered a minor injury but pursued and detained the passenger. a perimeter and K-9 search led to the capture of the driver. The vehicle was stolen from Chicago and contained two firearms and methamphetamine. The 26-year-old driver from Springport faces multiple charges. the 24-year-old Battle Creek woman is jailed for drug and weapon offenses. Both await arraignment.
