Scouts earn Polar Bear award on winter campout near Albion
Albion Troop 158 of the BSA sponsored by First United Methodist Church earned the Polar Bear award for over 24 hours in subfreezing conditions during a March 3–4 weekend camping trip on the Scoutmaster’s Alb ion property three miles south of town. Fourteen scouts and three adults, plus day participants, braved cold, cooked their own meals, and completed a competitive mile and a half compass course with ten stations.
