Marshall City Council explores citywide refuse service option
The Marshall City Council held a work session to discuss costs of a citywide consolidated refuse system. Public Services Director Carl Fedders said the goal is to facilitate discussion as residents and four local haulers voiced concerns. Current quarterly rates range from 42 to over 80 dollars. a citywide hauler could save customers up to two thirds, but residents worry about losing choice in haulers and payment levels.
